1. About us

The website is operated by Express Matting Services Ltd, trading as Spill Control Products UK ("we", "us", "our"). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07000887, and our VAT number is GB987256073. Our address is Unit 1B, The Summit, Manchester Road, Burnley, Lancashire, BB11 5HG, United Kingdom. You can contact us by email at sales@spill-control-products.co.uk or by phone on 01744 520 110 (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00).

2. Placing an order

When you place an order you will receive an email confirming the details. All orders are subject to availability. If we cannot supply an item, or there is an obvious error in its price or description, we will contact you and refund any payment you have made for it in full.

3. Prices and VAT

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) both including and excluding VAT at the current UK rate of 20%. The amount you pay is the VAT-inclusive total shown at checkout, which includes the delivery charge.

4. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Standard UK delivery costs £9.99 per order. Orders are usually dispatched within 3 working days and delivered 2 to 4 working days later. Full details are in our Delivery Policy. The goods are your responsibility once they have been delivered, and ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full.

5. Payment

You can pay by major credit and debit cards and the other payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order and is processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details. Approved business and public sector customers can contact us about paying by bank transfer against an invoice or purchase order.

6. Cancellations and returns

You can return items within 14 days of receiving them. If you are a consumer, you also have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Custom-made or made-to-order items produced to your specification cannot be returned unless faulty. How to return an item and how refunds are made is explained in our Return and Refund Policy.

7. Faulty or incorrect goods

If goods arrive damaged or faulty, or are not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Product information

We aim to describe and show every product accurately. Specifications, capacities and any applicable standards are given in each product listing. Images are for illustration and small differences in colour or packaging may occur. If you need to check that a product is suitable for a particular substance or use, please contact us before ordering.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. If you buy as a business, our total liability for an order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published on the website when you place it.
